The first internal combustion engine in a car is accredited to Karl Benz, who patented it in 1886. installing it into a motorised stagecoach built by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach. You may recognise their surnames from the luxury marques of yesteryear and today.

We first see the name Mercedes in a model marketed by Daimler in 1901. Entrepreneur Emil Jellinek named the 35hp motorised carriage after his daughter, Mercedes, which is the first time we would see the name attached to an automobile.

The merger of Daimler-Benz in 1926 would see the first cars bearing the Mercedes-Benz name. As well as being involved heavily in motor racing, the brand would go from strength-to-strength as a luxury manufacturer, including the famous Mercedes-Benz 770 model.

Compatible with 2K video technology, the screens give you crystal clear video and images, with deep and vibrant colours. Menus are clear and accessible, while movies and photos shine with cinematic quality. Even when away from home, you can take a seriously powerful entertainment system with you.

Adaptable to Your Needs

User experience is almost foremost in our minds here at XTRONS. We’ve ensured that the QLB Series stereos fit easily into your drive. Built-in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay makes syncing up your phone the easiest of tasks, giving you access to everything your smartphone offers. A few seconds with one of these QL units and you’ll be sharing screens and files with minimum effort. If you prefer the traditional use of a stereo, i.e. playing the radio, the series has full DAB compatibility, giving you access to hundreds of digital entertainment channels.

For all your other devices, there is USB connectivity for connection and charging, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connection. Integrated 4G and two bands of wi-fi means that it’s your dashboard’s brain as well as its screen. The QL Series is also fully compatible with XTRONS’ huge range of accessories, so if this huge feature set still isn’t enough, you can extend it even further.
