How To Connect Your Phone To Your Cars Bluetooth – 3 Simple Steps

For those of you unfamiliar with Bluetooth, it’s simply a way of connecting one device to another without the need for wires! Once connected, you can exchange music, send messages, make calls and much more. All of our car stereos come with built-in Bluetooth (please, read the description to see which version of Bluetooth the car stereo has), allowing you to utilise features such as hands-free calling and music streaming whilst enjoying a relaxing drive.  If you’re eager to begin enjoying your car stereos Bluetooth capabilities, but are unsure how to connect your smartphone to it, don’t worry, we’re here to help!

Connecting Bluetooth to your car stereo

Pairing your Bluetooth device is incredibly straightforward and easy to repeat. Just follow the steps below:

1. Make sure your Bluetooth is switched on

Firstly, open up the settings application on your car stereo and select the Bluetooth option. The screen should look like the example below.

2. Select your Bluetooth device

Next, open up settings on your smartphone and find the Bluetooth pairing options. Look through the list of devices available and select your Xtrons device. Normally the device will appear as 'car kit', but this may vary depending on the model.

3. Enter the Bluetooth pin

Finally, your Xtrons car stereo will provide a 4 digit pin number for you to enter on your smartphone. This will allow the device to verify a secure connection with your smartphone. Once you’ve entered the 4 digit pin, your smartphone will successfully connect to your Xtrons car stereo!
