Android Nougat 7.1 Car Stereo – What’s New?

Android Nougat 7.1. Android Car Stereos at XTRONS.

With the impending release of the Android Nougat 7.1 car stereo range, we wanted to let you in on a few of the improvements you can begin to benefit from.

The Android Nougat 7.1 car stereos are set to arrive at Xtrons in the coming weeks and will be available on Double Din universal and custom fit units.

Android Nougat 7.1

As a direct follow on, and upgrade, from the Android 5.1 Lollipop, the Android Nougat 7.1 boasts several new developments. Noticeably, the Nougat carries a hardware upgrade from 1GB to 2GB, for a silkier and speedier performance.

Quad-Core Android Nougat 7.1

Despite the Android Nougat 7.1 operating from a quad-core solution, making it not as advanced as some of our octa-core head units, it is still an improved arrangement from its predecessor.

Here’s why…

Android Nougat 7.1 - Professional Automative Industrial Design

The new Android 7.1 head units have a sleek appearance for a flush fit. After all, a beautifully crafted head unit deserves a beautifully crafted face panel. The touch panel and flush appearance makes this car stereo look like a tablet that has been made to fit perfectly in your car.

Android Nougat 7.1 - DDR3

The Double-Data-Rate Three (DDR3) has replaced the DDR2 and is a type of Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory (SDRAM) which reduces the power consumption by transferring data at twice the rate, enabling higher bandwidth.

Android Nougat 7.1 – User Interface

Yet again, here at Xtrons, we have developed the user interface for all you aesthetic lovers. By modernising the design of the interface, it not only appeals to the stylish in-car-entertainment market but keeps pace with the ever-evolving digital interactions we all have experience of.

Android Nougat 7.1 - Multi-Window View

Perhaps one of the coolest new features to come from the Android Nougat upgrade is the introduction of the multi-window view. A feature that allows for twice the interaction, twice the fun and twice the possibilities! As you can see, the multi-screen view opens up new avenues of entertainment and practicality. The ability to display increased, but necessary information, whilst using your Android car stereo is a smart addition.

Android Nougat 7.1 - Exclusive HDMI output

Due to the rapid development of technology, the demand for HDMI access ports has become the norm, so we’ve listened and obliged. The Android 5.1 did not benefit from such a luxury but the Android Nougat 7.1 houses an exclusive HDMI output for all your advanced accessories!

Android Nougat 7.1 - Separate Bluetooth Chip

This may come as a surprise, (unless you’re an avid techno-nerd), but the majority of head units on the market combine the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chips leading to interference. Now, you can smoothly sync with Bluetooth with no disruptions.

Android Nougat 7.1 - Pro’ Heat Dissipation

With the power and performance of Android Nougat 7.1 car stereos, scorching that of the 5.1 Lollipop, we figured a new heat dissipation system would be useful. Featuring Xtrons Heat Sink and FAKRA Original Radio & GPS socket technology, the ‘plug & play’ has never been better and the overall signal strength is stronger and more stable.

Android Nougat 7.1 - Dual Camera Switch

The new operating system now fully supports a rear and front camera image switch function. Which means you can even connect a front and rear journey recorder or reverse camera, and switch conveniently in between the two with just one simple touch.

Naturally, the new Android Nougat 7.1 will still house all of the other great features such as: DAB+, Screen Mirroring, TPMS, DVD Player and more.
